How to test your Gas Dryer solenoid coils when isn't heating up?
if your gas dryer is not heating or heating intermittently, then your gas Gas Solenoid Coils could be defective.
You can test each coil using an ohmmeter to determine if the coils have continuity
We recommend removing them from the appliance. When testing the two-terminal coil use a probe to touch one of the coils terminals and the second probe to touch the other terminal. The coils should indicate a resistance between 1000 and 2000 ohms.
When testing the three terminal coil touch one probe to first terminal on the left, which is the common terminal and touch the other probe to the second terminal. The coil should indicate a resistance between 300 and 2000 ohms. Now keeping the probe on the common terminal move the other probe to the third terminal. Again the coil should indicate a resistance between 300 and 2000 ohms.
The manufacturer part number for your solenoid coils is 279834 and they come as a set, so you don't need to order one of each.
