How to test your Gas Dryer timer or electronic control board when isn't heating up?
If your gas dryer is not heating up, then you may want to test your timer or Control Board.
Your dryer timer or control board is located in the control panel. If your 5 parts (igniter, thermo fuse, hi-limit thermostat, flame sensor and the two gas solenoid coils) all checked out, your drum tumbles and your dryer still not heating up, then your timer or control board (display) is bad. Enter your model number below to find the exact part number for your dryer. If you are not sure about that, then you may want to consider calling an appliance technician person to test it for you before you make any purchase, or perhaps buying a new dryer.
And finally, let's check your dryer vent. Make sure it's clean and not clogged up with lint, or the vent is kinked. Also remove your lint screen and get a long brush to clean inside the screen housing. Don't be afraid to use your vacuum.
Look up your own dryer.
