Whirlpool Gas Dryer is not heating up
If your gas dryer is not heating up, then you may want to test your high limit thermostat.
How to test your dryer high limit thermostat?
Your High Limit Thermostat (see image on the left) is located on the funnel / burner (see diagram below #47). This thermostat is a safety feature that keeps the dryer from getting too hot. If your thermostat has no continuity between the two terminals, then it's defective and your glow bar igniter will not work. The manufacturer part number for your high limit thermostat is W10423382. New thermostat may look different than original but function is the same per the manufacturer. Get it from Appliance Parts Pros, and don't forget to watch their video on how to install your new high limit thermostat.
