Whirlpool Gas Dryer #GGW9200LW0 is not heating up - how to test your gas solenoid coils #279834

If your gas dryer GGW9200LW0 is not heating up, then you may want to test your Gas Solenoid Coils.

SECOND: If your igniter glowing red but fading off without any burner ignition, and it keep doing the same think all over, then the two solenoid coils (see image 5) mounted on the gas valve are bad (see diagram 1, #13, #14). Their job is to open the gas valve to start the flame. The manufacturer part number for your solenoid coils is 279834 and they come as a set, so you don't need to order one of each. THIRD: If your igniter glowing red and everything looks normal to you, then you may want to wait at least 30 minute until your solenoid coils get hot, and see if your dryer glow bar igniter will starts fading off without any burner ignition.
